Checkmybody is a trading name of Contemporama UK Limited. We are a family owned and operated company based in Stockport, near Manchester, England. Our company is registered in England and we are registered for VAT.

At CheckMyBody we understand the difficulty some people may have in ordering a product based on an image and description and indeed about placing an order over the Internet. Purchasing from Check My Body

Making a purchase is easy. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the basket. After you have finished, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

The easiest and quickest method of payment is  by PayPal or with a credit or debit card though we also accept postal orders, money orders and cheques which should be made payable to Contemporama Ltd. Please note, in the event that payment is made by cheque, we will only despatch goods upon its clearance. We may charge of £20.00 will made for every returned cheque to cover charges our bank will levy on us.

Tax Charges

If applicable, 20% VAT is included.

Limitation of Liability

As specifically stated on this site, neither the site, nor any of its directors, employees or other representatives will be liable for damages arising out of or in connection with the use of this site or the products sold. This is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to all damages of any kind, including (without limitation) compensatory, direct, indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties.

Your Privacy

We at Check My Body are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).

We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service. As a customer your privacy is very important to us and we will NOT pass your details on to anyone else.

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

Once you have placed an order with us, your name and e-mail address will be added to our customer file. As a customer we may e-mail you from time to time to give you details of new products or to warn you the test you purchased from us is close to its expiry date. If you do not wish to receive any more e-mails from us, please send us an e-mail at sales@checkmybody.co.uk and your details will be immediately removed from our mailing list.

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.

You can check the information that we hold about you by e-mailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.

We may in the future use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.

Delivery Policy

All of our tests are dispatched by Royal Mail First Class Post. We aim to despatch all orders on the day of receipt if received before 5.00 pm  (Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays). This exceeds most of our competitors service levels. If some reason we cannot do this after 48 hours we will notify you by email and you may elect I(f you wish) to accept a refund so that you can buy elsewhere.

Returns and Cancellation Policy

f there is an item  missing from your order or the test you receive is damaged or defective then within 48 hours of you notifying us we will send you a replacement where possible. If a replacement is not available then we will refund your purchase in full. If you do receive faulty or incorrect goods then please hold onto them as we may require you to return them to us.

If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or because it is damaged or defective, we will refund your payment in full and pay your costs of returning it to us (either via a pre-paid return label, or by refunding your return postage costs).

We will check all items returned as damaged or defective. In the event we find no fault, we reserve the right to cover our fees and expenses from you.

7 Day Cooling-off Period

Under European law, customers located in the European Union also have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven working days of the item being delivered. Where you are withdrawing from your purchase within the seven working day cooling-off period, and there has been no error on our part, we will refund you in full, provided the item is still in its original condition. We will not refund your costs of returning the item to us. We advise that you use a fully insured posting method when returning the item  to us

Please ensure you clearly state the reason you would like a return or a replacement and send it back to us within 7 days of receiving your order thank you.

Privacy of Order

All orders are shipped in plain outer covers with no indication of product type, or any other description of the product. Our return address will also appear on the label as this is a Royal Mail requirement.

Security

We use the services of an independent companies - PayPal and Nochex - to provide secure payments facilities. Technical details regarding their security arrangements can be found on their web sites www.paypal.co.uk  and www.nochex.com. We do not see nor do we store credit card details

Shipping Information

We aim to have all our products in Stock at all times. You will be notified by email when you place an order if there are any delays in excess of 48 hours or products that are out of stock. If your item is not in stock, we will back order it for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

UK Customers:

We will require a full delivery address when your order is placed. It is our policy that all products sold on our site are priced INCLUSIVE of V.A.T. .We aim for NEXT DAY DELIVERY via 1st class Royal Mail (excluding weekends and bank holidays). Your order can be sent by courier for an additional £5.95

Overseas Customers

We do not supply outside of the UK and Northern Ireland.
